Ariadne-Thesaurus

The Ariadne Thesaurus is a vocabulary for describing literature in the field of women's and gender studies. It is maintained by Ariadne, the women's and gender-specific knowledge portal of the Austrian National Library, and used for the description of articles, essays, and extracts from collected works, periodicals, and journals. For each subject term, a link submits a search query with the preferred term and synonyms in QuickSearch, the catalogue of the Austrian National Library.

The Ariadne Thesaurus is based on thesaurA, the Austrian-specific women's thesaurus published in 1996. The Ariadne Thesaurus has been maintained locally since then. The content of the thesaurus is currently being fundamentally revised and updated.
